Senior Quote Guidelines:
All quotes need to follow the guidelines below. If the quote does not follow the guidelines, the quote will not be included under your senior portrait.

· NO derogatory comments about the community, school, students, faculty or staff members.
· NO shout-outs or references to or about other students, teachers, or groups. (This rule is in place because of the potential of a quote offending the person it references.)

· NO abbreviations of any kind.
· NO creative spellings or questionable/inappropriate content.
· Negative, derogatory, disparaging quotes will not be printed.
· If the quote/statement is humorous in nature, but could be misconstrued or misinterpreted as derogatory/disparaging/negative by any member of the entire TuHS community the quote will not be printed. (Suggestion: if your instinct tells you that it is a borderline quote, choose something else. If you do not have this instinct, ask a teacher.)

BEFORE YOU SUBMIT:
1. You can only submit ONCE...so choose carefully.
2. Must be submitted from a TTSD student email account.
3. The guidelines will be applied as a filter for every submitted quote. All quotes are subject to review/approval/exclusion by TuHS yearbook editorial staff and TuHS administration.
2. If the submitted quote does not follow the guidelines, is questionable/borderline to the guidelines and TTSD standards, and/or could be interpreted by a member of the community as being inappropriate in any way, it will not be printed.
3. Due to TuHS having 400+ seniors, we will not be contacting any senior to clarify or explain a questionable/borderline quote. If it is questionable/borderline it will not be printed. A good rule of thumb: if you are unsure if it is questionable, choose a different quote.
5. Due to unmovable deadlines from our publisher, at 11:59pm, Sunday, May 21, 2023, the form will be deactivated and submissions no longer collected.
6. If you choose to submit a personal statement (rather than a quote from a historical figure/author/entertainer/et al.) make sure that personal statement follows the guidelines, as well. The same quality filter will be applied to personal statements.
7. The TuHS yearbook staff & TuHS administration have the right to determine whether the quote is appropriate for publishing in the yearbook.
